Collaborative Law

Most people going through a divorce or separation would rather avoid having to go to court if possible and so a 'collaborative divorce' could work for you.

In Collaborative Family Law, you and your partner are represented by specially trained collaborative lawyers so we will still represent you but instead of us conducting negotiations between you and your partner by letter or phone both parties agree to meet and negotiate a solution face to face.

At the end of your collaborative process, the settlement that you agree is filed with the Court to approve and seal as an Order.

If there is a breakdown in negotiations and an agreement cannot be made we would not be able to act for you in Court. This rule ensures that all parties do their best to find a solution out of Court.
