Workplace Disputes

Our Workplace Disputes team is headed by Simon Veysey.  Simon is the firm’s Senior Partner who  also heads up the Commercial Dispute Resolution department.  He regularly sits as a Deputy District Judge in the South West and has over 30 years experience of employment disputes in both Courts and Tribunals.  Simon also handles advocacy for clients.

Our ‘HR Advice Line’ service for businesses normally avoids the need to defend Tribunal proceedings. We regularly advise businesses on how to resolve disputes before they leave the workplace and reach Tribunal.  However, it is not always possible to avoid disputes going to Tribunal.  

Our team regularly act for businesses defending Employment Tribunal claims such as sex discrimination, race discrimination, disability discrimination, unfair dismissal or breach of contract.  We provide support to businesses from initial preliminary advice on the merits of a case/dispute and the drafting of a defence right the way through to representation at Tribunal or Court.
