Costs

The family team at Mogers is specialist and experienced in all aspects of family law. Charges are incurred at an hourly rate for each lawyer involved on your case. We set these rates annually dependent on the level of experience of that lawyer. We break the hour down into 10 units. VAT is added to this as are payments we need to make on your behalf such as court fees. We will discuss these with you in advance of making them. All time spent working on your case is charged for such as making telephone calls, writing letters, reading incoming post and meetings.

It can be difficult to estimate costs at the outset as these can be dependent on factors such as how co-operative either party is. However we always endeavour to give likely costs ranges and we provide regular updates if we think this may change.

We discuss costs with all of our clients and tailor a repayment structure to meet our costs.  This can involve asking for payments on account which is then offset from the invoices as their case progresses.  We invoice all clients monthly and can ask for other monies in advance to cover court hearings.
